How Much Do I Save with Sidewalk Homes?

When representing a home-buyer, Sidewalk Homes earns a commission from the seller, usually worth 3% of the home price.  We keep one half of the commission for our service, and rebate the other half to you.  In the example of the $500,000 home, that’s often a rebate of $7,500.

You Get A Rebate Within 10 Days of Closing

You can apply your refund to closing costs, and get the rest as a check within ten days of closing.  The rebate is tax-free

The Fine Print

Your rebate depends on the home’s final price and the commission offered by its seller.  In the Tri Valley, the typical commission is either 2.5% or 3%.  A seller may always offer less or more.

Sidewalk Homes minimum fee is $6,000.  If the commission from the seller is less than $12,000, we still keep $6,000 and refund you the rest.

You can not use your rebate as part of your downpayment.

Short Sale Exclusion:  Sidewalk Homes will represent buyers and sellers in short sales.  Because short sales typically require a lot more time and effort, Sidewalk Homes does not offer rebates on short sale properties
